RAWALPINDI: The government is committed to resolving the Wage Board Award issue in a transparent manner, said Muhammad Ali Durrani, the minister for information and broadcasting, while addressing a function held to distribute shelters and Eid package to earthquake-affected journalists on Tuesday at the Rawalpindi Press Club.
Al Akhter Trust International organised the ceremony in collaboration with the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club. Mushtaq Minhas, the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club president, Pervaiz Shaukat, the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) president, Anwer Raza, the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) president, Muhammad Ibrahim, vice president of the Al Akhter Trust International, and others attended the ceremony. The minister said the government was trying to facilitate journalists and that the Information Ministry would use all its resources to rehabilitate the press clubs in the earthquake-affected areas.
